One cable (PoE)
Power over Ethernet carries power and data on a single network cable, up to 100 m. No outdoor outlet, no power brick, no flaky Wi-Fi link.
Works without Wi-Fi
No internet, no account, no subscription. Everything runs on the camera. At a dark site it makes its own Wi-Fi so your phone can still connect.
Built for weather
UV-resistant parts, a polycarbonate dome and stainless hardware. Every unit runs for days before it ships.

Many all-sky cameras are sealed boxes. When something fails, the whole camera goes back. SkyVault is modular: everything lives on one cartridge, and every part on it can be swapped or upgraded.
One cartridge
Camera, computer, storage and focus motor ride on a single core that unscrews from the bottom of the housing. The dome never has to come off.
Real NVMe storage
A 256 GB M.2 NVMe drive, not an SD card. Faster, far more reliable over years of nightly writes, and room for months of nights.
Best components available
Raspberry Pi 5, Sony's 12.3 MP HQ sensor, Power over Ethernet and active cooling.
Standard, swappable parts
The Pi, camera, drive and cable are standard parts. If one ever fails, you replace that part, not the camera.
Mount it anywhere.
Every tier comes with a bracket that clamps the camera to any standard 1¼″ pipe: a mast, a fence rail, or a wall standoff.
Nothing gets drilled into the housing, so there are no holes to leak. The arm holds the camera off to the side, so the pole stays out of the picture.

The whole sky down to the horizon in every direction. Best at dark, rural sites with a clear view all around.
Zoomed-in detail
A larger, sharper sky that trims the lowest part of the horizon, where streetlights and neighbors' lights live. Best in town or near lights.
